Christmas Competition Winners Announced - January 2019

So the winners have been picked by The Mayor of Beverley and we received them today!! He sent a lovely email which is as follows -

“I sincerely apologise for the delay but I confirm that the Mayor of Beverley has judged the competition entries for the Canine Christmas Costume Competition.  Councillor Bryan Pearson thought that all the dogs looked splendid and was amazed how many entries there were.  Owners had obviously spent time creating the costumes and we hope everyone had fun.”

Manager Appointed - January 2019

We are delighted to announce that Averilla will now formerly deputise for Helen & Tim as our Manager. Averilla has effectively been doing this for some time but this has now been made official. Averilla has been with East Yorkshire Hydrotherapy for over 4 years and along with her hydrotherapy activities has been instrumental in our scheduling, social media content, competitions, organising/hosting CPD events and introducing Aquatic Massage.

Jayne Joins Team- January 2019

We are delighted to welcome Jayne Myers to our team, Jayne officially joined us on Saturday as our new Hydrotherapist. Jayne worked as an Outdoor Pursuit Instructor before becoming a Teacher for 20 years, she then worked in the NHS Pharmaceuticals division. Jayne has owned and worked with dogs for many years and has been active in ‘rescue’. Jayne will complete her Small Animal Hydrotherapy Level 3 qualification in March/April.

Job Vacancy - December 2018

Our level of trade has been increasing, this has created an opportunity for an additional therapist.  

The team currently consists of three experienced Level 3 therapists, we are looking for an additional level 3 qualified therapist (or someone in the process of qualifying) to join the team. The position would be for a minimum of 25 hrs per week, if business continues to grow more hours could be available.  We would consider someone with the right background who is prepared to train. The successful applicant must have a natural way with dogs and a true empathy for them.

Christmas Competition - December 2018

 It’s that time again at EYHC, yes Competition time!! Starting on 11th December at 8am we want to see your furbabies in their Christmas Outfits!!! You can attend your session in the outfit or email us or inbox us a photo! Competition closes 22nd December at 8pm with the winner announced on 23rd December! Prizes for 1st to 3rd place!!

  

And we can now announce the judge is.THE MAYOR OF BEVERLEY, Councillor Bryan Pearson, thank you to him for accepting our invitation to judge!

  

We are also donating £1 for every entry to Pet Respect Charity who we proudly sponsor! They do an amazing job offering Animal Assisted Therapy Services to children and also residential homes. Pictured below is Jess one of the Animal Assistance Dogs for Pet Respect who we have the pleasure of looking after at Hydrotherapy!

 

So get those entries in, the more that enter the more money for charity!! We look forward to seeing what you all think of this time!!

New Roof - December 2018

The bad weather recently has highlighted some small leaks in the roof, our landlord has been very responsive at fixing the problems as they occurred, but has now decided to put a brand new roof on the Unit. This work starts tomorrow (December 3rd) weather permitting, there will be very little disruption to the inside of the building,.the work should only take a couple of days. The work is now complete and was achieved with minimal disruption thanks to 'MICS' and our landlord 'Keystore'.

Physiotherapy Room -December 2018

We are pleased to let all our friends and customers know that we are creating a dedicated physiotherapy room for Mary Holland (Veterinary Physiotherapist) who already provides Canine Physiotherapy to help in rehabilitation but will now also have a dedicated space at EYHC. Mary operates as an independent practitioner and will now be able to offer her services from East Yorkshire Hydrotherapy's premises along with home visits and other locations she works with. The new room will be complete by the end of the week, ready for equipping and decorating by Mary. Physiotherapy services will be offered separate to or in association with hydrotherapy.

New Water Treadmill - November 2018

We are excited to announce that we have just purchased a brand new, top of the range water treadmill, with additional features to help with your dog's rehabilitation. This will replace our current machine and will be installed just after the Christmas break.

Following the success of our Halloween competition, we are repeating this for Christmas, details to be announced shortly. East Yorkshire will donate £1 to Pet Respect for each entry.

October Competition

With Halloween fast approaching EYHC thought why should the kids have all the fun when we have our fur kids to think of too! So with that in mind running from opening on 23rd October until close on the 3rd November we will be holding a competition for the best Halloween themed outfit your pet attends his/her session in! If you still want to take part but are not due to come in during those two weeks then send us your photos during those dates!

New Website Launched - October 11th 2018

Our new web site has been launched, brought up to date with a lot more information, also now mobile friendly.

Aquatic Massage Training - September 2018

Averilla, Charlotte and Helen have now all attended training in Aquatic Massage. We will be adding this service to our hydrotherapy session from now on.

First Aid Refresher Training - July 2018

Helen and Averilla attended a Small Animal First Aid Refresher Course in Preston (Lancashire). As part of our continuing commitment to the health and wellbeing of our pet clients, all staff at East Yorkshire Hydrotherapy are fully trained in Pet First Aid. To keep current a refresher is taken every 2 years.

Now Fully Operational - May 15 2018

Following our short delay, due to technical problems we are pleased to announce that we are now fully operational in our new home.

Our 8th Birthday - May 6th 2018

Our first swim took place today at 10:00am 8 years ago, since then over 1500 pets have benefited and enjoyed hydrotherapy with us.

Relocation Delay - May 1st 2018

We apologise to our customers for the short delay in re-opening in our new home. This has been due to delays in the building work, then a problem getting our water chemical balance correct.

Announce our move to Tickton, Beverley - April 2018

It is with great pleasure we announce that East Yorkshire Hydrotherapy will be re-locating to Tickton Beverley, providing the same services in a more central location. We will be establishing a new facility and plan to relocate over the weekend of April 30th with minimum disruption to clients.
